Okay, I was really glad to find this out! Last night, I watched ‘House’ and I was devastated (not exaggerating) to see that Kal Penn’s character ‘Cartwright’ committed suicide. No warning, just gone….violently I might add. I felt like House’s character, I sure didn’t see that coming. OK magazine is reporting that Kal’s abrupt departure was due to his new job. Penn has been hired by President Barack Obama’s Administration as a liaison between Hollywood and the White House.
White House spokesman Shin Inouye says will join the staff as an associate director in the Office of Public Liaison. He’ll focus on connecting Obama with the Asian-American and Pacific Islander communities, as well as arts and entertainment groups.
Even if he had to leave, did it have to be so dramatic? I cry at the drop of a hat and I was sitting there sobbing my ass off and thinking that they will probably win the Emmy next time around for this one alone. Next question, what exactly does this liaison do? I would really like to see the job description for this one. I’m thinking I could be a liaison between the Administration and Working Mothers. Real Talk!
