Tonight will be the last time that the top 12 perform as couples!  Tomorrow our top 10 will be revealed.  Next week, The contestants will pick new partners for their performances.  Adam Shankman, Mary Murphy and Nigel Lythgoe are in the house.

Tonight the contestants share with us what they miss most about their partners.

Ryan and Ellenore.  She will miss Ryan’s strong arms and he will miss her quirky personality.  They danced the Lindy Hop with choreography by Carla Heiney.  They danced to ‘I’ve Got to be a Rug Cutter’ by The Boilermakers.  I thought they were really adorable with this one.  When I have seen the Lindy Hop before, it was more like the jive (very fast paced) so seeing it more like a Swinging  40’s number was great.  Adam thought it was awesome.  He thought they were great and the dance matched their energy.    He felt their party.  Mary thought it was tremendous and stunning.  Nigel thought it was terrible that they haven’t had the Lindy Hop on in 3 seasons, because both of them excelled in this dance even though it was not their genre.

Kathryn and Legacy.  Legacy will miss how much Kathryn has helped him be more flexible.  She will miss how everytime they go on stage, he does a little extra to get them into character.  They performed a  Jazz routine by Sonya Takeh.  The story of the dance is about a Man who is so taken with his lady that everytime he sees her he quivers.  They danced to ‘So Deep by Hot chip.  Definitely a quirkly little dance.  I think that Legacy outdanced Kathryn.  Adam thought it was a great routine and that the dance really showcased Legacy’s B-boy side.  The pair has such a great chemistry that it is a pity to see them part.  Mary loved the ‘crabwalk’ that Legacy did in the beginning.  Mary thought that the dancing was outstanding.  She thought they were really showcased  and she sees them in the top 10.  Nigel thought it was one of his favorite routines of the season.  Kathryn was incredibly sexy withought pushing it.  He thought Legacy was incredible and he sees new musicality coming out of him.

Karen and Victor.  Their first week together since their partners left last week.  Victor likes that Karen has been on the Tamale train twice and he is hoping to get on with her.  Karne likes that she can talk to him in Spanish.   They performed a ‘Tango’ by Melanie and Tony.    The story of their dance is one of Lust, desire and romance between silent lovers.  The danced to ‘Montserrat’ by Orquesta del Plato.  Karen clearly controlled the beginning of this dance and the choreography really played to her strengths.  Victor caught up very quickly though.  Good dance.  They sold the story.  Adam thought that this partnership really worked out well. He thought that Victor had so much poise and grace.  Karen was fabulous.  Good work.  Mary thought that Victor was a huge surprise for her.  He had the air down.  Karen looked tremendous and still on the train.  victor is picking up steam.  Great Chemistry.  Nigel thought their chemistry was great.  He gave Victor some little pointers, but he thought he was remarkable.  Nigel likened her to JLo and Shakira- you have to watch her.  He thought their pairing was Magical.

Nathan and Mollee.  Nathan will miss Mollee’s Laugh and positive energy.  She will miss the random sounds that he makes.  They danced a Hip Hop  routine by Jamal Sims.  The story is about the day that Alexander Grahmn Bell invented the Telephone.  They danced to ‘Ring a Ling’ by The Black Eyed Peas.  Great Choreography, but I’m not sure if they lived up to the vision.   Adam thought that they sold the story.  He could see some of the stress of Mollee’s bruised ankle, but she danced very well.  Mary thought it picked up steam as it went along.  Certain things could have been hit harder, but she enjoyed it.  Nigel thought that although they are good dancers,  he is looking forward to them moving on, maturing and having the  benefit a new partner.

Noelle and Russell.  Noelle will miss Russell’s laid back no stress personality.  Russell will miss her affection.  Tony and Melanie choreographed a Samba for them.  They danced to ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ by Shakira.  It seems a trend tonight that the dancers begins  with a slow start and then warm up to it.  I thought that Noelle outdanced Russell.  Adam enjoyed it.  He thought that they were too sweet and that they didn’t enter into the ‘nastiness’ of the dance.  Mary also would have liked to see more depth.  The performance was phenomenal.  She thought that there was real joy in Russell’s dance.  Noelle was shaking it, but she didn’t have the feel of the dance.  Nigel also needed more sex from Noelle.  He still is having difficulty believing that Russell has not had formal lessons, because he is so good.

Ashleigh and Jakob.   Ashleigh will miss their friendship.  Jakob will miss…he can’t put it into words.  They danced a lyrical Jazz routine by Sonya Takeh.  They performed to ‘time flies’ by lyke Li.  This was a beautiful dance!  Jakob’s leg extensions and kicks are unbelievable.  Adam thought it was so beautiful, he was almost speechless.  He hates to see this partnership break up.  Mary thought that their chemistry has been so strong in every number and that  it shows in their dances.  She believes that both of them have grown so much.  Nigel corrected himself and acknowledged that this was his favorite routine tonight.  He thinks that they compliment each other so well.

Ellenore and Ryan.  Spencer Left choreographed a Broadway Routine about the temptation of  fame.  Ryan represents the dark side of fame and fortune that tempts the innocence of Ellenore’s character.  Razzle dazzle by chicago.  Great performance with fantastic choreography.  Adam thought that they nailed it.  He thought that Ryan was great and Ellenore was a Rockstar out there.  Thrilled about it.  Mary thought that Ryan really dug in and showed the professionalist that he is.  Ellenore is unique and the quality that she brings makes her the ‘it’ girl.   Nigel thought it was terrific.  They did a fantastic job in putting their personality into the dance.

Legacy and Kathryn.  Jean Marc and Franc choreographed a Viennese Waltz.  The story is that Legacy is a dancer who hasn’t had the chance to show his skills and Kathryn will be his Guardian Angel and guide him to his destiny.  They danced to ‘Your Guardian Angel’ by Red Jumpsuits Apparatus.  Great dance accompanied by Fabulous music.  Loved it.  Adam thought it was an extraordinary attempt.  by Legacy who did fantastic.  Kathryn was gorgeous tonight.  Mary thinks that they will both be ok.  It wasn’t the best, they have to work on their technique.  Nigel thought that Kathryn was great and that Legacy’s performance could have been better.

Karen and Victor.  They danced to Laurie Ann’s Hip Hop choreography.  They danced to ‘Moving Mountains’ by Usher.  Unfortunately they were not in sync for this routine.  I didn’t believe their connection or that they were trying to move a mountain together.  Adam thought that he didn’t think the attitude of the dance matched the music.  But he thought they danced it great.   Mary thought it was okay.  There wasn’t anything there that was memorable and she is glad that they have an amazing tango to fall back on.  Nigel thought that it was a pity that they did this dance last (Tango was so much better).  He didn’t feel the chemistry or the music with the choreography.  (Ouch)

Molle and Nathan.  They danced the Can Can with choreography Tyce Diorio.  Their music was the ‘Can Can Suite’.  From what I have seen of this dance, I think that they danced this very well.  Adam thought that they were the perfect couple to get this new dance genre.  Really good routine.  Mary thought it was fantastic.  Great energy.  Nigel gave us some history about the Can Can dance (originally, the girls didn’t wear any underwear).   They rocked and performed very well.

Noelle and Russell.  Tyce Diorio choreographed their contemporary routine.  He would like them to paint on her chest with his face.  This  number is  going to be very sensual.  They danced to ‘A Case of You’ by Diana Krall. Outstanding Dance!  I really felt this one.  They have a great connection and I couldn’t look away.  Adam thought that they were just gorgeous.  He doesn’t think that they are going anywhere.  Mary thought it was ver clever and it was special for her.  It just flowed.  Nigel loved the strength and confidence Noelle showed.  Russell gets better and better, he has forgotten that he is a street dancer.

Ashleigh and Jakob.  Jean Mark and France choreographed a Cha Cha.  The story is that the two are fighting over who gets the only chair .  They danced to their Cha Cha to ‘Heels by Rosa’ by Rosabel ft. Jeanie Tracey.  Ashleigh apparently is a Cha Cha Queen and it showed!  But Jakob was also working what his Mama gave him.  Great dance.  Hot, sassy and very flirty.  They were both very committed.  Loved it!  Adam said that this is Ashleigh’s world, but Jakob made himself seem like he is a Ballroom dancer.  They killed it!  Mary said that without question, they have blown it out the park tonight with both of their numbers.  Ashleigh’s leg movements are gorgeous.  She had such confidence.  Jakob was really there and he was sharp & respectable.  Great job.  Nigel complimented Jakob on doing so well.  He thought it was a really good Cha Cha and he believes that they will be in the top 10.
