Tonight, the Stars will tackle 1 individual dance and one group dance.  I’m sure that tensions and emotions will flair.

Last week, DWTS was the most watched show of the week.  Tom has been waiting all season to say that!

Babyface, Susan Lucci and Kyle Massey are in the house!

Guest Judge Donny Burns is a 16 time World Championship winner.  All of the Pros are pretty much in awe of Donny.  It will be interesting to hear what he has to say about the performances.  Donny appears to be a true fan of the show and he is very complimentary about how professional DWTS is.    Len has known Donny for the past 45 years and he met him when he Judged Burns in a Dancing Contest when he was about 10 (how old is Len).

Group Performance:  The Cha Cha

Team Chelsea (and Mark) consist of Ralph and Karina, Chelsie and Romeo. Great performances from them all.  It’s a tie between Chelsea and Romeo for best performance of this group.  Chelsea’s fun pants might give her the edge.   Len:  He thought they did a terrific job.  Bruno: ( is up and dancing)  He appreciates that they went full frontal, but they were a little off.  Carrie Ann:  Thought they were very much insync.  She liked that  Ralph held his own with the young edgy group.  Donnie:  He thought they did a great job.  He knows that they are stressed with having to do two dances. Even though Ralph dropped a little of the footwork,  He is buying it.  (MAC-8) Donnie-8, Carrie Ann-8, Len-7, Bruno-7= 30  Video

Team Hines (and Kym) consist of Max and Kirstie, Kendra and Louis.  Wow!  Two very different presentations of the same dance. Very good!  I think that I liked the two dances evenly.  Bruno:  A little bit of extra butt doesn’t hurt.  This was smooth.  Carrie Ann:  Kirstie did better in the solos.  Donnie:  The spacing between the couples wasn’t quite right (boos from the crowds).  Len: Kendra was shaking and he was stirred.  Kirstie was right on it and Hines did a great job keeping up with these brothers.  Well done to all of you.  (MAC-8) Donnie: 7, Carrie Ann- 7, Len-8, Bruno-8= 30   Video

Undefeated Latin Dance Champs Yulia Zagoryuchencho and Ricardo Cocchi perform the  Cha ChaVideo

Tonight the Stars will receive some dancing tips from the best of the best in the dance world: Luca Baricchi and Shirley Ballas.

We get a quick update from Diane Sawyer about Osama Bin Laden’s death.

Chelsea and Mark:  They danced the Paso Doble.  Mark helps Chelsea challenge her inner aggression by bringing in his Mama Shirley Ballas to get her on track.  As I watch Shirley give instruction, I fully understand why Mark is such a great dancer, because this woman is intense.  How old is this woman?  She is the bomb and apparently her teaching is effective.  Chelsea nailed the Paso.  She really is a great dancer.  None of the other contestants are smiling.  They know that she just killed it.  The only thing is that they could have picke better music to seal the deal.    Len– he gets confused because he got the aggression, but there was too much aggression, but it lacked some refinement.  Bruno:  Chelsea the ball breaker.  Danced with violent intensity.  Showed great range.  Creativity was outstanding.  Carrie Ann: Congratulations!  She likes that they are pushing boundaries.  Donnie:  He was a little confused.   Instead of a Bull Fighter, he felt that he got a Biker Chick. Kendra and Louis:  They danced the Tango.  Kendra thought that this was the hardest choreography that she has had yet.  Luca Birraci is there to inspire and instruct. Some parts of this dance really worked.  You could tell that Kendra but her heart and soul into it, but where she did the moves well, she seemed a little stiff.  Bruno:  Never looked more elegant  and sexy.  You have to hold your structure.  Carrie Ann– I am so proud of you.  You had the most beautiful expression, sophistication and elegance.  Donnie:  The content was massively difficult and he thought she did a bloody good job.  Len- Coped very well with the demanding choreography.  He would have liked to see her a little more crispness.  Has to hold her structure (Donnie interrupts to call him Grumpy).  But he thought that she did a great job.  (MAC-8) Donnie-8, Carrie Ann-8, Len-7, Bruno-8= 31      61 out of 80  Video

Kirstie and Maks:  They danced the Jive.  Shirley came  to practice to help whip Kirstie into shape.  Kirstie was kind of a drama queen in rehearsal, but I like her so much that I will forgive her.  Good choreography and music, but Kirstie’s Jive looks exhausted.  Her kicks are tired and they don’t have the high energy that this requires.  Carrie Ann:  Incredible performance.  Wasn’t enough of the jive.  You look amazing.  Donnie:  I really like it.  I buy it. He feels that her talent is between the steps that she fills with who she is and that she was a star before you got here.  Len:  You are an actress and act beautifully.  It was fun, but it went wrong.  As a Jive, it was uneventful.  Len was Disappointed.  Bruno:  It was superb.  She gave it all the way through.  Your musicality and instinct is on the money all the time.  (MAC-7) Donnie-9, Carrie-7, Len-6, Bruno-8  30 out of 40   60 out of 80    Video

Ralph and Karina:  They danced the Quickstep.  Luca is there to provide them with some amazing help.  This was a Lively and fun Quickstep.  Good Night for Ralph.  I’m glad for him.  Standing O.  Donnie:  Your footwork was fabuous.  He thought they rocked.  Len:  Liked the footwork.  Upperbody is a little bit loose, but he was very pleased.  Bruno:  How to grab a quick one.  So vivid and vibrant.  You sell it like nobady else can.  Carrie Ann:  Bo0yah!  You’re back!  Great job.  (MAC- 9), Donnie-10, Carrie Ann- 9, Len-  8, Bruno- 9= 36 out of 40 66 out of 80   Video

Another update from Diane Sawyer on Bin Laden’s death.

Hines and Kym:  They danced the Tango.  Luca got close and personal with Hines in practice and it helped him out a lot.   Hines’ teammates Jerome Bennett came in to support his friend.  Yes!  Fabulous execution of the dance.  Len:  it was a mixture for him.  It was full of drama and then it went into a fairy mode and it was all a little too dainty.   Overall, liked it very much, you’re a good dancer.  Bruno:  He liked the way he played it.  Big, strong and masterful, but he managed to retain.  Killer tango.  Carrie Ann:  What you do is that you take command of every dance.  There was some off balance.  Donnie:  He feels like she Dance from his heart and he uses his head.  You have a nice personality.  Mechanically, your arms were too loose.  Apart from that, terrific (MAC-8)  Donnie – 9, Carrie Ann- 9, Len- 8, Bruno-10=  36 out of 40.   66 out of 80    Video

Chelsea and Romeo:  They danced the Samba.  Chelsea is hoping to stay on the top of the score board.  Shirley came in and inspired Romeo and he really really embraced Shirley’s advice and her body….  Hmmm….I was expecting so much more.  I thought that after Shirley’s advice, there would be a serious breakthrough.  There wasn’t  meat to this dance and very little excitement.  Pity.  Bruno:  Romeo you can get down and shake it, but you have to get the bounce in your legs correctly.  Carrie Ann:  A lot of bounce going on, but not sure if it was a Samba bounce.  He needs to work on technique.  Donnie:  I’ve watched you grow throughout the entire season.  But there was a party in the pants and an earthquake inyour  shoes when you hit the floor. Everything was crucial.    Len:  Didn’t like it a lot.  He felt that Romeo talked the talk,  but he didn’t dance the dance.  At this point in the competition, anyone can win and anyone can go home.  Gotta up your game.  (ouch)  (MAC-7)  Donnie- 7, Carrie Ann- 8, Len- 7, Bruno- 8 =30    60 out of 80  Video
