This wedding falls under the Unbelievable, but true category. The UK Closer magazine posted pics of this very Classy £100,000 wedding. It seems that the 16 year old bride Missy Quinn married 17 year old Thomas in a lavish wedding. Ever feel like you got robbed? Didn’t get your money worth? Missy’s father Simon should feel that way! Here’s a breakdown of how that money was spent:
Missy’s luxurious two-piece wedding gown: £16,000
Missy’s gorgeous crystal bouquet: £500
The outfits worn by some of the babies at the wedding: £300
One of the guests’ hot pants and bra ensemble: £700
Missy and Thomas’ new trailer, a gift by her parents: £18,000
Simon also paid for hotels, a rented Rolls-Royce, a tiara, a honeymoon in Turkey and a reception for 150 guests. Many of the guests wore glamorous outfits made of feathers and crystals. Several girls as young as 9 walked around wearing bra tops, high heels and make-up.
Are you kidding me? This wedding is so unbelievably tacky, I’m almost speechless. Almost. What in the world? And they are teenagers…….No parent should ever buy their daughter a wedding dress that has two pieces and the hip hugger skirt is a mini! But then….look at her mother in the picture above. How can the blind lead the blind? And the sad thing is that usually when we take foolish pics in our youth, we usually look back at the photos and we realize that I looked like a fool! I don’t think that day is going to come. And when you think of the amount of money that they spent on a shot gun wedding. No where does it say she is pregnant, but their ages kind of tip you off. Anyway, You won’t believe the rest of the photos!
The bride was like a delicate flower in a vision of virginal white
Sigh
The lovely bridesmaids were a vision in blue
and the flower girls were so innocent and precious in their little dresses with their matching mink coats
The bride is the spitting image of her mother; some might say “she get it from her mama”!
A moment in time for the lovely couple.
But seriously, what’s up with the ‘Pimps up, hoes down’ as a theme for your wedding? Flower girls should never look like they just got off the track and as for the bride……Sigh.

Struggling to find a single redeeming feature in this pantomime wedding. On so many levels it seems wrong.
Clearly some people have money to burn!
I wish the bride and groom luck and a long and happy life together, however, common sense and current divorce rates for teen brides would suggest otherwise.

it does look tacky,
but the family are travellers and thats part of their culture.

I think my favourite part is the shocked faces in the bus behind the bridesmaids.

You’ve won the Pageant of the Transmundane for this entry at my blog this week because this is just so bizarre.

Clearly people who comment on ‘shot gun’ weddings don’t know anything about the culture of travellers in the UK. This is typical of a traveller wedding, as is the age of the bride and groom.
Who are we to judge – Live and let live heh!

no comment could express the clownish clothes and the overpainted female faces..
You have heard the old saying…put a silk dress on a pig and it is STILL A PIG

To each his own I guess but this is just weird. I just hope the saying “don’t judge a book by its cover” is true on this one ’cause it’s definitely conveying something else.

As stated by one person they travel and it’s their culture.
Can someone explain what culture this is. I find it interesting to learn differnt herritage of people and the reason and meaning behind them doing what they do. Who is to say this isn’t just normal for them and their families. Maybe this was even a planned marriage since childhood.
As long as they’re really truly happy and don’t hurt anyone who are we to say they are right or wrong.

I think it would be difficult to be a traveler in a get up like those bridesmaid’s dresses.
Although, you wouldn’t have to worry about wrinkles after being stuffed into a duffel.

That was fun, kinda felt like I was spying on the happy couple! Hope they work it out. I was married (not pregnant) the day I turned 17, and wore a short short dress, (nothing else…) at a $29.99 ceremony… I guess if I had been wealthy I would have done something like this – I was young and rebellious too! Wish the happy couple the best of luck!

Did the cost include mother/daughter boob jobs?
And can someone define “classy” in this context?

Omg, this is just horrendous. This sort of thing really happens? If I was at that wedding I just might have vomited, the flower girls alone makes me queasy. (No child should be wearing a 2 piece and makeup) Horrible! I can go on and on and on…

trashy…well maybe. idk, you know some people might find this completely appropriate. NOT. who does that? arent wedding supposed to be sacred? this is crazy. no BRIDE should wear a gown in two pieces. that…that is horrible. they are butchering the tradition. but, to each his own, and if they are happy with their unconvential not to mention disturbing nuptuals, then more power to them. just as long as they keep it to themselves.

The main reason this is wrong and tacky is because they dressed little kids like tacky. Other then that, this looks like it was thrown together in a week and they got the dresses from some vintage shop. They seem like that are vegas show girls, so maybe that explains the clothing.

It seems way overboard to me. I have always had a conservative view of parties and stay away from lavish spending, both personally and with customers.

All these comments just show how sadly ignorant and unaccepting a lot of people are out there. Anyone who doesn’t get that “travellers” is the PC word for “gypsies” (which is derogatory) is just plain ignorant. The fact that you would deride someone as “tacky” because they have a different culture than you is horrible. Would you also call the traditional dress of belly-dance (a bra and skirt) also trashy whore clothes? Horrible! There is a big world out there and it’s not all Anglo-Saxons! Try learning and appreciating instead of judging others!

UM! Those people are Anglo Saxon or some form of European Caucasian. If they were real”gypsy” folk, they wouldn’t be pimping it in a Royce. Also, reagrdless of supposed ”ethnic orgin” they look like ” white trash” and everyone knows it.
Comparing them to ”bellydancers” is ignorant on your part. Bellydancing is an cultural dance expression based upon a honed skill that takes years to develop. Much like Flameco for the Spanish, Ballroom for the British.
I did not know that dressing your 6 year old daughter up like a tart was acceptable in”gypsy” society. I would hope that they would still have some code of ethics about them.

but its part of thier culture…part of thier culture…. For godsake can we stop being so effing soft. this is only happening because we let it. can i also remind you that your hard earned cash probably paid for all that stuff. this trying not to offend people and being pc stuff is just bringing the world down. damn,i get so mad at this CR*P! wouldnt p*ss on them if they were on fire, mind you the amount of synthetics they’re wearing it would be over in a flash! come on people, we’ve still got backbones right? ps,is it also part of thier “culture” to use gravy as fake tan?!

To be absolutly honest it look’s more like a brothel than a wedding.
I just hope the children weren’t hit on by 70 year old men who’s lives consist of child pornography and crack hores.
Also comparing these people to belly dancers ? I am sorry but they look more like Willy wonka’s little helper’s to me.
It’s a poor display of dignity and I think my father would say no way to me if I even had the slightist idea of that dress or lack of.

Can someone explain why travelers think that dressing like a prostitute from a young age is acceptable and part of their ways? Sorry but I just didn’t think putting on more makeup than a circus clown and dressing like a stripper was acceptable to anyone that has an ounce of class.

i hate the way that people critisize these people because the are travellers i to am marrying an irish traveller and i will be having the huge dress and my sister age 11 and daughters aged 9 and 4months will also be wearing big lavish dresses and our guest will come over dressed but as longs as we enjoy our day and are not asking you to pay for it why are you all so concerned and critical?

I don’t get with the overt sexualization especially of the children considering that Traveller culture puts great emphasis on moral values even to the extent of secondary level education being segregated as to the sexes. What is with all this sexual display?

Good afternoon, Happy Fool’s Day!!!
One day a Jewish Mother and her 8-year-old daughter were walking along the beach, just at the water’s edge. Suddenly, a GIGANTIC wave flashed up on the beach, sweeping the little girl out to sea.
“Oh, God,” lamented the mother, turning her face toward heaven and shaking her fist. “This was my ONLY baby. I can’t have more children. She is the love and joy of my life. I have cherished every day that she’s been with me. Give her back to me, and I’ll go to the synagogue every day for the rest of my life!!!”
Suddenly, another GIGANTIC wave flashed up and deposited the girl back on the sand.
The mother looked up to heaven and said, “She had on a HAT!!!”
Happy April Fool’s Day!
