The Obama Family Welcomes New Puppy!

 

 

The Obama Family finally has found the Puppy that they have been searching for since the President was elected.  The family’s new dog, Bo, a six-month old Portuguese water dog, as his wife, First lady Michelle Obama (L), and daughters, Sasha and Malia (R) look on in the White House in Washington, DC. Bo is a gift from Senator Ted Kennedy (D-MA) and and his wife Victoria to the President’s daughters.  Total cuteness and can I say that I am so glad that they found a puppy!  And it looks like he was worth the wait, he is a beautiful puppy!

Michelle Obama Wows in England!

  

 The main topic and reason that the First Couple are in England is for the G20 meeting where important fiscal decisions can be made by the World Leaders, but it seems that most can’t stop talking about the impact that Michelle Obama is making over in England!  From her smart Fashion sense to her meeting, greeting and charming The Queen, everyone seems to be talking about Michelle Obama!

 

Much is being made of Michelle Obama and Queen Elizabeth’s embrace. As the First Lady and Queen chatted at the G-20 reception on Wednesday night, the Queen touched her hand to Michelle Obama’s back, and the gesture was then returned. Royal etiquette dictates that the Queen not be touched unless she reaches out first. Patting the Queen’s back, however, is almost unprecedented behavior in Buckingham Palace.

Barack Obama danced  his first dance as President of the United States with his wife First Lady Michelle Obama.  This was truly a cute display of affection between the Obamas as they shared their first dance to Beyonce’s rendition of  ‘At Last’.

Barack Obama Inauguration Concert: We Are One!

 

I didn’t get a chance to post yesterday, because I was on a all day trip to DC .  It is freezing here!  I’ve been running all day and had to get a coat to wear to combat this cold weather and pick up my inaugural tickets!!!

Anyhoo, here are some photos of the crowds that gathered at the Lincoln Memorial on the National Mall for the opening ceremony of the inauguration of U.S. President-elect Barack Obama on January 18, 2009 in Washington, DC. The “Today – We Are One” free concert which included various performances by Stevie Wonder, Bruce Springsteen, Beyonce, U2 and other artists with an appearance by U.S. President-elect Barack Obama.

Obama’s letter to his Daughters!

Parade Magazine has published a letter that President Elect Obama has written to his two daughters Malia and Sasha.  A very nice letter where a Father explains to his daughters how they have inspired him to be a better man, positive example and they were his inspiration to run for President.  Loves it!

 

Dear Malia and Sasha,

I know that you’ve both had a lot of fun these last two years on the campaign trail, going to picnics and parades and state fairs, eating all sorts of junk food your mother and I probably shouldn’t have let you have. But I also know that it hasn’t always been easy for you and Mom, and that as excited as you both are about that new puppy, it doesn’t make up for all the time we’ve been apart. I know how much I’ve missed these past two years, and today I want to tell you a little more about why I decided to take our family on this journey.

Obama Announces Appointments Of Clinton & Nat’l Security Team

 

  President-elect Barack Obama introduces members of his National Security Team including Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) (3rd R) as his choice for secretary of state as Vice-President-elect Joe Biden (4th L) listens as during a press conference at the Hilton Hotel December 01, 2008 in Chicago, Illinois. Other members of the National Security Team named by Obama at the press conference include Washington attorney Eric Holder (L) as attorney general, Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano (2nd L) as his choice for homeland security, Robert Gates (3rd L) will remain as defense secretary, Retired Marine Gen. James L. Jones (2nd R) was selected for the position of national security adviser and Susan Rice (R) as U.N. ambassador.
