American Idol Recap 4/21/11

Here is the Recap!  Last night we got some great performances from our Idol Hopefuls and I am wondering who will make it through to next week? 

At the start of the show, I am thinking that Casey, James and Haley are definitely advancing.

Ryan says that over 52 million votes came in last night.  To which I say…..how is that possible?  I vote once and feel like I contributed in a big way.

 Tonight Katy Perry with Knye West and David Cook will perform.

Ryan has small talk with the Judges.  Jlo hopes that a girl is not eliminated.  Most importantly, Mark Anthony was.  Steven promises to give the Backstage Editor something to worry about.

Group Duet:

Lauren, Jacob, Stefano and Haley perform Jupiter’s ‘Hey Soul Sister’.  Decent performance, but it’s nothing to write home about.  Video

Katy Perry and Rihanna are shown backstage after attending ‘Ka’ by Cirque de Soleil at the MGM Hotel  in Las Vegas on September 18th, 2010.  Rihanna also hosted a Bachelorette Party for Katy on this same night.  No matter how sane or sober you are, when you watch Cirque de Soleil, you really still feel like you are tripping.  The girls look like they were cracking up during their backstage tour.  Fun Times. 

MTV VMA 2010 White Carpet Arrivals

The MTV Video Music Awards brought out Tons of Celebs to the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.  It definitely looks like there was a conscious effort to dress up the White Carpet.  I don’t know if I have ever seen so many suits and nice dresses.  Chelsea Handler is hosting.  Eminem is opening the show and Kanye West (he’s back) is closing it.  Should be an interesting show.

 Katy Perry hosted 2009  MTV EMA show for the second time consequtively. 

Perry got the party at the “Katy Kat Club” going with a cabaret-style medley of Black Eyed Peas‘ “I Gotta Feeling,” David Guetta‘s “When Love Takes Over,” featuring Kelly Rowland, Kings of Leon‘s “Use Somebody,” Beyoncé‘s “Halo” and Lady Gaga‘s “Poker Face.” Gotta admire this girl! Beyonce, Jay Z, Tokio Hill, U2 and others performed.

MTV Video Awards- Red Carpet Arrivals Part 1

 The Celebs came out to the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards at Radio City Music Hall on September 13, 2009 in New York City.   Of course, there was a huge turnout to see the highly anticipated Michael jackson Tribute that started with Sister Janet Jackson recreating their Scream Video!

Is that Hendog the reason that Kanye dissed Taylor Swift?  I’m wondering if that was staged….think Eminem and Bruno.  Kanye’s Main girl Amber Rose was there in her snakeskin as well.
