American Idol Recap 4/28/11

Tonight is sure to be a night of surprises, because Ryan just introduced the show by saying that we will be disappointed with the results and damned if he doesn’t look as happy as can be!  I haven’t seen that much of a twinkle in Ryan’s eye, since he sent home Chris Daughtry (one of the biggest AI shockers of all time)

Steven is feeling good; he’s got on a fly hat and a frilly blouse, so it is all good. Oh and also, is on the cover of Rolling Stone and has a photo spread in People.  Ryan says that People is saying that Steven was once a Bad Boy, but now he is America’s Sweetheart.  To which Steven replies,   When I’m bad I’m even better.  This guy cracks me up, he is the king of Cliches.

Bruno Mars and Crystal Bowersox will rock the house tonight.

We see some footage of the Idols at the British Consulate celebrating Prince Williams’ upcoming Nuptials to Kate Middleton.  Nice!   Video

The remake of ‘When Harry Met Sally’ that everyone has been waiting for is finally here! No actually, this is a spoof of what life would look like when an older widowed Harry tries dating Helen Mirren. Hahaha! She’s a Vampire! Also featuring the many talents of Rob Reiner, Adam Scott, Mike Tyson, Rob Riggle, Maya Rudolph, Jennifer Crystal Foley, Mike O’Malley & Josh Fadem.I love it!

Check Out the Trailer for ‘Conan The Barbarian’

‘Conan the Barbarian’ is slated to be a huge Blockbuster this summer.  I have to admit that it does look interesting (I’m intimidated by the picture alone).  Check out the trailer, does it make you want to see this movie?  Kind of.  I mean that other than being familiar with the ‘Conan the Barbarian’ hype, I learned nothing new from this trailer and I do feel that I have to see the movie to understand what it is about. 

One thing that the movie does have going for it is that Conan is Fine a** Jason Mamoa (aka Lisa Bonet’s Baby Daddy).  I wouldn’t mind looking at him and his 6 pack for 2 hours. 

John Travolta to Play ‘John Gotti’

It has been confirmed by ‘Gotti’ Film Producer Marty Ingels  that John Travolta will play the  Crime Boss  John Gotti in his new movie.  It looks like the movie will have an all star cast, because it’s been rumored that James Franco is being considered for the role of  ‘John A Junior Gotti’.  The Film will be directed by Nick Cassavetes.

John Gotti died in jail on June 10, 2002 of Brain Cancer.  He was serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole at the time of his death after being  convicted of murdering 12 people, conspiracy to commit murder, racketeering, loan sharking, tax evasion, illegal gambling and obstruction of justice.

Check out this clip from Mel Gibson’s New Movie ‘The Beaver’.  Mel has had such a difficult year with all of his Baby Mama Drama and Domestic Violence incidents that it is hoped that this will be a comeback vehicle for him.   The film looks pretty interesting, I cannot see how the Beaver Hand Puppet would work in real life, so I guess I will have to see the movie to gain some understanding!

Here is the Trailer for the 4th installment of the ‘Scream’ series. Sidney and her stalker are back. As I said a couple of weeks ago, the Horror Films of the past will continue to be revamped every few years or so. Although, I am a scary person by nature, I am actually kind of looking forward to this one. I pity the fool who watches it with me, because I will be jumping and screaming like a lunatic. Looks like good fun!
