The West team celebrates Justin Bieber MVP win  at the 2011 BBVA NBA All-Star Celebrity Game at the Los Angeles Convention Center on February 18, 2011 in Los Angeles, California.  The teams included Justin Bieber, Romeo, Common, Rob Kardashian, Trey Songz, actor Michael Rapaport and Nick Cannon.   Basketball stars Scottie Pippen, Bill Walton, Rick Fox, Jalen Rose, Mitch Richmond, Chris Mullin and Swin Cash rounded out the game players.  Bill Walton was the Coach for the East Team while Magic Johnson served as the Coach for the West Tteam.   The Eastern Conference won over the Western Conference 54-49.

Superbowl Favorite Song: Lil Wayne Vs. Wiz Khalifa?

 Pittsburgh Steeler Fans  and Green Bay Packers Fans are anxiously waiting for the Superbowl on Sunday.  Two Hip Hop Fans have shown their dedication to their teams by recording songs.    First, Wiz Khalifa recorded his song ‘Black and Yellow’ to express his love for the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Now, Lil Wayne has responded with his own  Green Bay Packer’s Anthem ‘Green and Yellow’.  One of these songs is going to get played alot after the Superbowl!  I’m hoping it’s ‘Black and Yellow’!  Go Steelers!

Today on ESPN’s Show ‘First Take’ Lil Wayne was quick to make sure that everyone understands that this is not a ‘diss’ song (in response to Wiz Khalifa’s song), but it is a ‘Team Song’ and ‘every team has a great fight song’.  

Also, Lil Wayne offered a wager to both Wiz and Snoop Dogg, both avid Steelers fans. The loser of the bet would have to cut his hair.

I haven’t heard Wiz or Snoop’s response to that bet yet, but if they accept, they will truly show their Team spirit!  Check out the songs after the jump!

Thiago Silva Breaks Brandon Vera’s Nose in Las Vegas UFC Fight

Ouch!  Brandon Vera definitely received some medical attention following his Ultimate Fight Championship bout with Thiago Silva on Saturday Night in Las Vegas.  Silva dominated and won all three Rounds.  In round 3, Vera started to get the best of Silva when he drop kicked him to the stomach, but that is when Silva jumped up and continued with the whipping that resulted in Vera’s broken nose.

Silva’s win was a unanimous decision for all three rounds (30-26), (30-27), (30-27)

When I looked at this pic, all I could think of was Chris Tucker’s Friday Character ‘Smokey’ yelling ‘You Got knocked the F**k Out’!

The San Francisco Giants Win The World Series 2010

Congratulations to the San Francisco Giants for winning the World Series 2010!  The team beat the Texas Rangers in game 5 of the series after winning 2 games in San Francisco’s At&T Pac Bell Park and then winning 2 of 3 games in the Ranger’s Ball Park in Arlington, Texas. 

This is the first World Series Win for the Giants in San Francisco!  The last time that the Giants won the Series was back in 1954 when they still played for New York.

I’m so very excited for my home team!  Although, I am so happy that they won in game 5, but there is this part of me that wishes that they could have come home to win their victory!

Congratulations Giants!

OchoCinco’s Cereal Sex Line Mix Up

 Cincinnati Bengals NFL Star Chad Ocho Cinco was trying to do something good, but things went South.  Ocho Cinco launched his own Cereal in early September and it was being sold in stores in Ohio.  Ocho included a number on the back of his box that Consumers can call to make a donation to Feed the Children.  Only when one family called 1.800.help.FTC, they got a seductive sex line.  Oopsy.  Chad was quick to say “It wasn’t me’.  All of the boxes have the faulty number on it.
I don’t know, I think I would have tried the number at least once, before putting it on the box.  maybe that’s just me..

This is truly the feel good story of the day.  Hayward Demison had just scored  the winning  touchdown for Central Catholic High School and to calm his rapid heart beat, he took a puff of his inhaler to breathing (he was diagnosed with athletic Asthma two years ago).  The inhaler actually made his heart race even faster and Demison collapsed.

Linda Liver who is a Cardiac Nurse was in the stands watching and she went down to see if she could help.  By the time that she reached Demison, his heart had been stopped for 2 minutes.  Liver performed emergency CPR on Demison to get his pulse re-started.  Demison was taken to the hospital for further treatment.  It was determined that Demison has a heart defect that will require surgery later this month.

What a blessing for the Demison Family that Linda Liver was there and did the extra to make a difference!  Nice!

Allen Iverson is Leaving The Grizzlies

Allen Iverson has announced that he is leaving the Memphis Grizzlies and he is being coy about what is next.  At this point, we don’t know if he is looking at his next NBA team or retiring.  It sure does seem a shame that such a great player as Iverson will go out without a Championship ring.
