American Idol Recap 3/24/11

Last night’s Motown Night pushed the Idol Hopefuls to bring some of our favorite Soulful songs  to the Competition.

Over 30 million votes came in last night.  Ryan promises that we may be shocked.

Tonight Sugarland and American Idol Alum Jennifer Hudson are the Guests.

The Contestants have had a problem with their pitchiness over the past weeks.  Mark Anthony came by to assist the Contestants with their pitchiness.  He gave them a crash course on how to perform in front of large audiences.  Last night, Mark came in to watch backstage and see if his critique helped.  He didn’t always agree with Jlo’s advice last night (she will deal with him later on that one).   American Idol definitely came up when they got Jlo, because Mark Anthony is a huge perk.  He is there tonight…..wait is that Ice T next to him?   Video

Katy Perry on ‘The David Letterman’ Show

Check out Katy Perry on the DL Show last night to promote her newest CD ‘Teenage Dream’.  Katy talks about her Music, Religion, Candid Love life with Russell, the possibility of Jimi Hendrix being her Daddy and she also perfomed for her Fans as well.

So You Think You Can Dance Recap 8/11/2010

After 9 weeks, it all comes down to tonight’s vote!  Kent Boyd, Lauren Froderman and Robert Roldan will dance for your votes tonight.  Each dancer will perform 4 dances tonight.

Kent and Lauren.  They performed a Bollywood routine danced to Om mangalam .  with Nakul Choreography.  The dance is about a couple getting married and the groom has cold feet.  This was really fun routine.  Hmm…  Don’t know if Kent completely embodied the Bollywood style.  He looked a little too doe eyed and he had the faces going on.  Just okay on this one.  Nigel thought it was great fun routine with great dancing.  He was really happy and he thought that he captured all that was asked of him.  Mia thought it was the perfect Bollywood piece for him.  Very Kentish and it worked.  Adam thinks the energizer bunny should retire.  There was so much precision and energy in this dance.  Literally perfect.  Feel good dancer of the year.     Video    888.623. 7801

American Idol Results 4/14/10

 

The Opening was pretty dramatic tonight showing the saving of Michael Lynche last week and clips of the performances last night.  And of course, tonight there will be a double elimination!    Video

Over 34 Million votes came in last night.  Brooke White and Justin Gaston will perform.  Mentor Adam Lambert will take the stage and Rock it out no doubt.   American Idol takes it to a higher level next week!  Alicia Keys will be the Guest Mentor as the Contestants take on Inspirational Songs to get ready for American Idol Gives Back.

Last night was the first ever time where the Contestants were scored in two areas: Technical and Performance and Len is still tickled pink about it.

Pamela Anderson, Niecy Nash and Kate Gosselin discuss the difficulties of juggling practices and performances on DWTS and being Mothers.   I think overall the various Mothers have done really well with finding a balance.  Kate seems like she is really struggling and to be fair, maybe because she has 8 children, it’s harder!  Anyway, I am really looking forward to tonight’s Performances!

What Tony and Eva Do For Fun!

Tony Parker and Wifey Eva Longoria-Parker have revealed a little about themselves that I never would have come up with.  Apparently, the two are some serious fans of the musical ‘Grease’.  In the video they spoof  ‘Grease’ characters Danny and Sandy.  Pretty funny stuff and while Tony admits that this is Eva’s favorite film, I’m thinking that no matter how sprung he is….he has got to be a pretty big T’Bird fan himself.  Personally, I think that this probably started with some dress up antics in the bedroom and then they told two friends and so on….    On his website, Tony has posted this video and he is inviting his Fans to submit their own musical parady in full costume.  Tony and Eva will pick their favorite and they will fly the winner to San Antonio to watch the Spurs play a game.  Entries are due by Jan. 31st.

Jay Z and Alicia Keys Perform ‘Empire State of Mind’ at The World

 

Jay Z and Alicia Keys opened the Game 2 of The World Series at the Yankee Stadium.  Needless to say, they turned it out!
