William Balfour arrested in connection to Hudson Family Murders

Jennifer Hudson’s ex-brother in law William Balfour has been arrested in connection with the Murders of the actress’ Mother, Brother and 7 year old nephew.  Mr. Balfour had been detained as a suspect and on violation of probation charges immediately following the murders which occurred over a month ago.  But now he has been formally charged in this matter.  The interesting thing though is that there doesn’t seem to be any additional evidence found, but an arrest has been made. Hmmm….

Amy Winehouse’s husband admits that He Made her a Junkie!

In an interview with News of The World, Amy Winehouse’s husband Blake Fielder-Civil admits that he introduced her on to Crack and Heroin.  Blake also reports that he knows that he cannot be with his Soulmate until he gets himself clean and then he can try to help her.  He rationalizes that the two of them cannot be in the same room together, because they will no doubt end up using.  Blake apparently is going the ‘if you love someone, set them free’ route.  That’s nice and all, but since Amy is still smoking, she is unable to feel the love and she is likely to sock him in his head when she sees him.

December 1st is World AIDS Day!

Support World AIDS DayWorld AIDS Day, observed December 1 each year, is dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection. AIDS has killed more than 25 million people between 1981 and 2007,[1] and an estimated 33 million people worldwide live with HIV as of 2007,[2] making it one of the most destructive epidemics in recorded history. Despite recent, improved access to antiretroviral treatment and care in many regions of the world, the AIDS epidemic claimed an estimated 2 million lives in 2007,[3] of which about 270,000 were children.[4] The concept of a World AIDS Day originated at the 1988 World Summit of Ministers of Health on Programmes for AIDS Prevention. Since then, it has been taken up by governments, international organizations and charities around the world.

From its inception until 2004, UNAIDS spearheaded the World AIDS Day campaign, choosing annual themes in consultation with other global health organizations. In 2005 this responsibility was turned over to World AIDS Campaign (WAC), who chose Stop AIDS: Keep the Promise as the main theme for World AIDS Day observances through 2010, with more specific sub-taglines chosen annually. This theme is not specific to World AIDS Day, but is used year-round in WAC’s efforts to highlight HIV/AIDS awareness within the context of other major global events including the G8 Summit. World AIDS Campaign also conducts “in-country” campaigns throughout the world, like the Student Stop AIDS Campaign, an infection-awareness campaign targeting young people throughout the UK.

Karrine ‘Superhead’ Steffans college course ‘How to Whore out Your Body’

Wow, I guess Cal State Northridge must be hard up for Speakers.  What I really want to know is what is she teaching?  What educational value is being gained during her lecture?  Do the students earn credits for learning the hows and whys of whoring out yourself?  Anyhoo, This video is footage of Karrine ‘Superhead’ Steffans leading a lecture in a front of a group of students.
In a question and answer format, Steffans answered several questions from students, but became defensive when answering specific questions from the group of college students.

“What’s changed is what I do. I am not what I do. I’m not what I’ve done. I am not my past,” Steffans explained to the crowd. “My past does not define me as a woman. As a mother, as anything. And as I stand here, don’t break your concentration to look at me. I want you to hear this.”

After attempting to answer the question, the audience then erupted into a number of yells and even laughter. Video of the exchange can be seen on the Hip Hop and journalism blog SlavIsMyName [click here].

“You’re not getting paid to speak, I really want you to listen to me,” Steffans demanded. “What I want you to know is that I am who I am and I don’t change.”

Since releasing her two books, Confessions Of A Video Vixen and The Vixen Diaries, Steffans has made a number of appearances from college seminars to television talks shows; She has appeared on television shows such as The Oprah Winfrey Show and The Tyra Show.
All I know is that Karrine is definitely going to have to answer alot of questions from her son when he gets older.  She skated around the issue when asked by one of the students about dealing with her son’s questions.  I suggest that she start thinking right now on how to best answer questions regarding how she earned the affectionate nickname of ‘Superhead’ by all of the R&B and Hip Hop male performers with a hands on method.
